Lori Katz has worked as a studio potter
in the Washington, DC area since 1979. She maintains a studio at the
Torpedo Factory
Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia, and is an instructor in the
ceramics department of the Art
League School, also in Alexandria. Lori is best known for her
innovative teapot designs which have been featured in publications
including HOME magazine and The Washington Post.
Lori has participated in numerous shows and exhibitions, and is the
recipient of several awards, including the “Niche” award
for excellence in design and craftsmanship.
Lori’s first experience with clay was on a table-top potter’s
wheel that her niece fools around with these days.
